What FlatCheck is

FlatCheck is an informational service. You upload a video of a rental property; our system extracts frames, analyses them with AI, transcribes any audio, and returns a report summarising what the AI saw — possible issues, possible scam signals, and suggested questions to ask. The report is delivered as a web page and a downloadable PDF.

What FlatCheck is not

It is not a property inspection. We never visit, touch, or measure the property.
It is not legal advice, financial advice, or a tenancy contract review.
It does not verify the landlord's identity, ownership, or right to lease the property.
It does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any finding in the report.
AI analysis can be incomplete or inaccurate. Things outside the camera's view, defects hidden by lighting, or scams designed to fool visual analysis can all evade detection.

Your responsibilities

By using FlatCheck you confirm that:

You have the right to upload the video you are submitting.
The people and property shown in the video have not objected to being filmed for the purpose of property analysis.
You will always confirm important findings with an in-person viewing before signing a lease or transferring money. For high-value decisions you will also consult a qualified inspector or legal advisor.
You remain solely responsible for your rental decision.

Payment, refunds, and service start

Pricing is shown on the homepage and at checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see your card details.

You expressly request that the service begin immediately on payment. Because the report is typically generated within minutes, you acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal under EU Consumer Rights Directive Article 16(m) once we begin processing your video.

If our pipeline fails to produce a report (for example, your video could not be processed), we will automatically refund the full amount through Stripe and send you a failure email. If you have a different complaint, contact support@flat-check.com and we will investigate.

Video and data retention

We delete the uploaded video from our storage within 48 hours of report delivery. We keep the report (without the original video) so you can return to it from the report link. For full detail on what we process and why, see the Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. We record which version of the terms applied at the moment you paid.
